qualities my mother in a Mapuche hunger strike and lonko, invite all mothers of the strikers, Mapuche sisters, all Mapuche mothers and mothers of Chile in general, a walk to the city of Santiago, which starts on Wednesday September 29 at 10:00 am from the front of the men's prison in Temuco.
From the point indicated, we will leave the outskirts of the city, where we board a bus travel to Concepción, in this city will leave to us in the metropolitan area, where we walk to the Palace of La Moneda. Already call on all social organizations that want to join us and support us in this walk.
The reason for this mobilization is to provide unconditional support to the demands of those thirty-four children of the Mapuche people in an act of utmost consequence, they are risking their lives in pursuit of their freedom and heartfelt claims of our people.
The Mapuche are not terrorists, therefore the Chilean State can not judge and jailed under the criminal type. We are an ancient people related to land and the past five hundred years, we have to confront those who have sought and intend to invade to take over our resources and our dignity.
Simultaneously the walk and also to support the demands of our fellow prisoners on hunger strike, the Mapuche VIII, IX and X Regions, march to Temuco, in order to block access to this city, where they will remain firm as long as necessary, until the government sits down to chat with representatives of the people and the families strikers.
From those conversations, we expect a commitment seriously that translates into real solutions with respect to the legal situation of prisoners and the main demands of our people.
Through this statement also reiterated the call for our traditional authorities and the Mapuche people in general, to attend a trawün, to be held on September 26 in the town of Quepos, in the community where you want to install the airport, for the purposes of parley, make agreements together and devise a strategy as a people to confront, once and for all the major challenges that this fight us.
