snail feeding is one of the most important elements to consider in snail. As a general rule will eat snails the order of 2% of their body weight per day, this is 100 snails adults need 13 grams daily for food. If we look at food costs account for a proportion very high costs of rearing and fattening. So, say for example a farm of 200,000, meaning it will spend a daily average of 26000 grams of feed (26 kg / day). Similarly, if each kg of feed at a cost of 0.40 euro cents - to the standard operating-systems, includes a total of 10.40 euros daily. Finally, if the fattening process takes about 120 days the final price amounts to 1,248 euros. This would be well if only we used it I think.
This amount, which in principle can be exorbitant, would be qualified. According to the model proposed by Hinojosa del Duque IFAPA called Soon Fattening Ecological (AIAM Heliciculture 2009) Food of the snail come from three main sources:
1 º I Balanced - 2 or 3 times a week -
2 º Browsing snail - plants they eat and provide shelter -
3 º Contribution of plants from the farm animal's taste.
With the entry of these two new elements are reduced to two thirds the amount of food to provide balanced and thus the economic game intended for such feed.
Either way, serve as a reference to the feed conversion rate per kilogram released can vary between 1.7 and 2 kg.
